Patricia Ann Travis, 75, of Kountze died on Friday, January 7, 2011 at her residence after a lengthy illness.  She was born on July 7, 1935 in Port Arthur, Texas to Cyrus and Mary Lenola (Bourgne) McGee, Sr. A resident of Kountze since 1974 she was a retired drug abuse counselor for MHMR in Beaumont. She also provided counseling through Land Manor and Franklin House in Beaumont. Throughout her counseling career, Patricia helped numerous people become productive citizens in their communities. Patricia also was a school bus driver for the Hardin-Jefferson I.S.D. for many years.

Patricia is survived by her children, Robert Holston, Danny Holston, Skyla Herford and husband Jay, and Latice Fontenot all of Kountze; her sister, Jane Borel of Zavalla; grandchildren, Tammi Gribel, Nora Letney, Patrick Holston, Austin Holston, Dustin Herford, Cody Herford, Braidon Fontenot and Hannah Fontenot; and five great grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the family home, 4188 Aquarius Lane, Kountze, Texas. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.
