Carolyn Ann Courville
October 13, 1953 - January 4, 2011 |
Carolyn Ann Courville, 57, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2011, surrounded by family and friends after battling cancer of seven years. Among the many things for which she will be remembered are her grace, unselfish spirit of love, and giving to others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Carolyn was born on October 13, 1953, to Dwan and Patricia Warner. She grew up in Port Neches and graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School. She then entered Lamar Dental Hygiene School at the University for two years. After that she entered private practice where she was employed for thirty-two years in the office of Doctors Courville and Bess. Her attitude, personality and laughter will always be remembered by her many patients, staff members and doctors. Carolyn loved to work in her yard with her many plants and she created a beautiful area where she loved to sit outside in the evenings on the patio with her husband and dogs. She loved playing cards with her friends and the penny slots. Her most favorite moments were at the beach, cooking, visiting, and being with family and friends. She loved to fish and spent many happy hours dragging dead minnows behind the boat while reading her book. She always caught the most redfish. She was happiest taking care of her family and doing for others. Her positive attitude, zest for life, and unconditional caring for others will be her lasting legacy. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert E. Courville; mother, Patricia Warner; children, Colby Allen Burson, James Logan Burson and Britny JoAnn Burson all of Port Neches; step-children, Allison Harmon and Caran Lindsey; grandchildren, Bryston Mascitelli and Kelsey Prince; step grandchildren, Daniel Courville, Amanda Courville, Clay Lindsey, Garrett Lindsey, Hannah Harmon and Hayden Harmon; brother, Randall (Randy) Glen Warner of Buna; and sister Ruby Warner Halter of Lafayette, Louisiana.
