John Mark Domaschk, Sr.
October 1, 1958 - January 1, 2011

John Mark Domaschk, Sr. 52, of Port Arthur, was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, January 1, 2011, following a brief illness.  He had recently celebrated his 31st wedding anniversary and slipped quietly away with his cherished wife Laura at his side.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John Domaschk of Port Arthur and Beth Clanton of Orange.

A native son of the Golden Triangle, Mark was born in Port Arthur on October 1, 1958, and grew up in Beaumont where he later founded his business, Beaumont Floor Restorers.  Always a family man, he retired in 2005 and devoted his time to his wife, children and grandchildren.

Mark is survived by his wife, Laura Doucet Domaschk; children, Heather Lynn Andrepont and John Mark Domaschk, Jr.; grandchildren, Tyler Andrepont, Ashlynn Andrepont and Mark David Domaschk; sister, Mary Tippit of Naples, Florida; aunt, Dorothy Marie Browning; and several dear nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mark’s legacy will endure through the memories of his family and friends, especially his amazingly quick wit, sparkling blue eyes, and love of the great outdoors, boating and bass fishing.

A gathering of his friends and family will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a Rosary recited at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A committal service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Pierre Robert, Howard House, Mark James, Robert Doucet, Adam Rhoades, Kevin Andrepont and the Honorable Mark Piazza, Mayor of Abbeville, Louisiana serving as pallbearers. His grandsons, Tyler Andrepont and Mark David Domaschk will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The Domaschk family wishes to thank the staff of Harbor Hospice for their compassionate care of Mark.

Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice, 2450 North Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas 77713.
