Anna Belle Friedman Spector 
March 13, 1924 - December 29, 2010

Anna Belle Friedman Spector passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010, encircled by family and friends who cherished and adored her. A resident of Beaumont most of her life, she was born on March 13, 1924 in Port Arthur, Texas to Rose Richker and Morris Aaron Friedman.

 

She is survived by her son, Michael Spector and his wife Rene' of Beaumont; daughter-in-law, Kay Spector of Beaumont; grandson, William Spector and his wife Lindsay of Beaumont; grandson, Jonathan Spector of Houston; granddaughter, Rachel Spector of Houston; grandson, David Spector and his wife Christine of Houston;  granddaughter, Shana Spector Faciane and her husband James of Beaumont; granddaughter, Nira Miller and her husband Don Lott of Houston; two great-granddaughters, Grace and Isabelle Spector; sister, Sylvia “Cissy” Chernoff and her husband Sam of Waco; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Anna Belle is preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty-four years, Max Spector; her treasured son, Ronald “Ronnie” J. Spector; her parents; three sisters; and two brothers. 

 

Anna Belle was a devoted daughter, sister, spouse, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.  She enjoyed and retired from a successful real estate career that spanned nearly 43 years, including 25 years with her mentor and dear friend, T.E. Moor.  Active in the community and a long-time member of Kol Israel and Temple Emanuel congregations, she was a ray of sunshine, enriching and elevating all those she encountered.  

 

The family expresses their appreciation to devoted caretaker Angela and physician, Dr. Mark Toups.

 

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 31, 2010, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont followed by burial at Kol Israel Cemetery.  Rabbi Joshua S. Taub of Temple Emanuel will officiate.

 

Pallbearers are William Spector, Jonathan Spector, David Spector, Paul Horwitz, Alan Sampson, Ralph Night, Paul Kessler, and Michael Wolf. Honorary pallbearers are Ted Moor, Jr., Leonard Swartz, Nate Swerdlow, Harvey Night, and Paul Williams.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Temple Emanuel, 1120 Broadway, Beaumont, Texas 77701, or the Julie Rogers “Gift of Life” Program, 2390 Dowlen Road, Beaumont, Texas 77706.
