Tedine "Dusty" Hebert 
July 31, 1930 - December 24, 2010

Tedine “Dusty” Hebert, 80, of Beaumont, died Friday, December 24, 2010, at Beaumont Health Care Center. A resident of the area most of her life, she was born July 31, 1930, to Joyce Meyers and Leo Soileau in Ville Platte, Louisiana.

 

Dusty truly loved spending time with and cooking for her family, she had a wonderful appreciation for her Cajun heritage and her Shrimp Creole recipe was a family favorite. She also enjoyed gardening, making crafts and helping others.

 

Her family wishes to express their appreciation to all the staff and faculty at Beaumont Home Health and Hospice of Texas for their kindness and compassion. A special thank you to The Kamp Family for guiding them to the hospice experience and providing us with a meal following mom’s service.

 

Survivors include her children, Clyde D. Hebert, Jr. of Beaumont, Grady Hebert and his wife Jan of Lumberton, Jeff Hebert and his wife Melissa, Kay Pierson and  Alfred Pierson all of Beaumont, Laura Hammonds and her husband Andy of Kountze, and Joani Garner and her husband Chester of Nederland; ten grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

 

A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Broussard’s, with burial to follow at Hebert Cemetery, Beaumont.
