Albert "Al" Maybou 
July 21, 1925 - December 22, 2010

 

 

Albert “Al” Maybou, 85, of Port Arthur died December 22, 2010 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Born July 21, 1925 in Louisiana, Al was the son of Lucy Peters Maybou and Clay Henry Maybou and had been a resident of Port Arthur most of his life.  He was a United States Marine Crops veteran and was a painter.  He enjoyed fishing, the Dallas Cowboys, gardening and family was very important to him.

 

He is survived by his daughters, Janet Bankston and her husband John and Kim Clanton and her husband Roy all of Port Arthur and Alison Nettles and her husband Daron of Nederland; sister, Martha Grayson of Moreauville, Louisiana; son-in-law, Guy Scott of Port Arthur; grandchildren, Todd Scott, Michelle Gobert, Jeremy Lang, Don Lang, Jacob Nettles, and Jennifer Ontiveros; and ten great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wives, Antoinette Modica Maybou and Bess Maybou; daughter, Sue Scott; and grandson, Guy Edward Scott.

 

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland followed by burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.  A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday evening, December 26, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
