Del D. Cox, 82, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at The Oaks in Beaumont. 

Born October 15, 1928, in Big Sandy to Celesta Hendrix and William Calvin Cox, Del had been a longtime resident of Beaumont.  He was a retired office manager with Century Finance and Transamerica and was a United States Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Jimmie Cox of Beaumont; sons, Keith Cox and his wife Milka of Pflugerville, and Gary Cox and his wife Susan of Lumberton; grandchildren, Kayla Buckner and her husband Buddy of Silsbee, Kale Cox of Lumberton, and Adam Cox of Pflugerville; great granddaughter, Emily Buckner of Silsbee; and brothers, Bill Cox and Bobby Cox both of Livingston. 

His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with entombment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery.  A gathering of his family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning prior to the service at Broussard’s.
