Doris “Nancy” Reed, 82, of Beaumont, died Sunday, December 19, 2010, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. She was born October 9, 1928, in San Antonio, to Ella May Reed and Wesley John Reed; and had been a resident of the Beaumont area for many years.

She is survived by her sister, Peggy Bergeron Johnson of Beaumont; nieces, Karen Ellsworth and her husband Jim of Conroe, Susan Hughes and her husband Brady of Sulphur, Louisiana, Lauren Chance and her husband Eddie of Beaumont, Ellen Alleman and her husband Ronnie of Orange, and Rebecca Reed and  Sara Tyson both of San Antonio; nephews, John Bergeron and his wife Jerre of Spring, Bryan Bergeron of Beaumont, and David Lucas and his wife Pam of East Hampton, New York; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Nancy is preceded in death by her brother, Wesley Walter Reed, and nephew, Wesley “Skipper” Lucas and Walter “Scooter” Reed.

Her funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 777 North 4th Street, Beaumont, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at Broussard’s.
