Donald “The Breadman” Burton, 72, of Port Neches died December 13, 2010 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur. Born April 27, 1938 and lifelong resident of the area, he was the son of Marie Plumar Littlejohn and Lowell Wayne Burton. He was the route salesman for twenty-eight years with Rainbow Bread and for twelve years with HEB Grocery.
Donald was a United States Army Veteran. He liked to watch sports, loved his cats, enjoyed being around people and staying busy, as well as being an avid pool player.
Survivors include his son, Mark Burton and his wife Kim of Port Neches; daughters, Nicole Guerrero and her husband Jeremy of Nederland and Donyelle Perry of Athens, Texas; and grandchildren, Dallas Guerrero, Dawson Guerrero, Dorian Perry, Davin Perry, Chase Burton and Raven Burton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Burton; and son, Randy Burton
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street in Nederland followed by burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday evening, December 17, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
