Sharon Ann Best McIntosh, 64, of Nederland died December 12, 2010 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.  Born October 4, 1946 in Port Arthur, she was the daughter of Billie Faye Causey and Lytle Caldwell Best.  Sharon retired from the United States Postal Service Beaumont Encoding Center.

She enjoyed shopping and loved animals and nature.  Above all else, she loved being “Nan” (grandmother) and taking care of her family and enjoyed taking photos of them.

Survivors include her husband, Burl McIntosh of Nederland; son, James William Caldwell Russell and his wife Lesli of Nederland; daughters, Kelly McIntosh Hammons and her husband Allen of Nederland and Jackie McIntosh Goodwin and her husband Johnny of Denham Springs, Louisiana; brothers, Robert Best of Orange and David Best of Beaumont; and two grandchildren, London Jaymes Russell and Sydney Michelle Goodwin.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland followed by burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.  A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday evening, December 15, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
