Larry G. LeBlanc, Sr., 70, of Fannett, died Saturday, December 11, 2010. Working until the moment of his passing, he left this world while building a barn on a hill in a setting that only God could create. He was born March 15, 1940, in Fannett, to Annie Belle Clubb LeBlanc and Eustis LeBlanc. He worked as a machinist at Texaco Island for twenty-one years before transferring to Delta Petroleum in New Orleans where he retired, but never quit working.
Survivors include his brother, L.T. LeBlanc and his wife Betty Jane; sister, Betty Taylor; son, Danny LeBlanc and his wife Joels; daughter, Penny Prince and her husband Si, former wife, Mary Ann Theriot; grandsons, Larry LeBlanc, III, Matthew LeBlanc, Emanuel LeBlanc, Blake Prince and Deuce Prince; granddaughters, Mindee LeBlanc, Breanna LeBlanc, Jessica Leblanc, and Pryscilla Prince; four great granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Bell Loupe; and his oldest son, Larry G. LeBlanc, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 16, 2010, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9894 Gilbert Road, Fannett, with burial to follow at Landrum Cemetery in Fannett under the direction of Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A Christian Vigil will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Broussard’s.
