Mark Wesley “Wes” Thomas, Jr., 75, native of Mr. Thomas, an accomplished artist, avid hunter and fisherman, and bon vivant, was a longtime resident of New Orleans, and enthusiastic member of the Krewe of Endymion. He had a profound appreciation for travel, music, Latin culture, and the natural environment. Wesley’s joie de vivre will be greatly missed by his family and friends throughout the Gulf Coast region. He is survived by son, Mark Thomas III and partner Bill Cook; two daughters, Sarah Spence and her husband Dean Spence, and Tracy Thomassie and her husband Glen Thomassie; granddaughter, Kaci Thomassie; and grandsons, Tyler Thomassie, Trevor Kahlbau, Jordan Kahlbau, and Dean Spence, Jr. Wes is preceded in death by his parents, Jhovita and Mark Thomas, Sr., of Beaumont. His memorial service will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 12, 2010, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, in Beaumont.
