Lucretia Lord Hopper, 65, of Beaumont, died Friday, November 26, 2010, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, she was born on May 12, 1945, to Mary (Lord) Crusan and Howard Crusan. Lucretia was a substitute teacher, tutor and loved teaching younger children. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Hopper; brother, Charles Crusan; nephews, Charles Crusan, Jr. and Matthew Crusan, all of Benton, Pennsylvania; brothers-in-law, Dan Hopper of Silsbee, Royal Hopper, Jr. of Groves, Mark Hopper of San Francisco, California, Roger Hopper of Beaumont, William Hopper of Houston, and Tyler Hopper of San Antonio; sisters-in-law, JoAnne Sutton of Silsbee, Debbie Rodda of Port Arthur, Dee Dee Sandifer of Houston, and Marietta Credeur of Winnie; special cousins, John Batson of Georgia and Blair Batson of Mississippi; and numerous cousins. Lucretia is preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Royal and Mozell Hopper; and sister-in-law, Neva Marshall of Groves.
