Dorothy J. Richmond 
September 14, 1925 - November 24, 2010

Dorothy J. Richmond, 85, of Sour Lake passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at the Kountze Nursing Home.   She was born September 14, 1925, in Clarkston, Washington where she graduated high school. Dorothy was married to V.F. "Buz" Richmond, who passed away in 1984. Dorothy was employed by the War Department and was a personal secretary to one of the lead physicist that worked to develop the atomic bomb during World War II. After the war she moved to Sour Lake and made it her home.   She is survived by her sister of one hundred years, Lois Easterdays of Clarkston, Washington. While Dorothy never had children, she is survived by nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.   She enjoyed being with her friends, playing Bingo and eating good food. Her family, friends, and neighbors will miss Dorothy as they remember her wonderful sense of humor and her upfront honesty and frankness.  

A family committal service will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her memorial service will be held at a later date.
