Mamie Jane Quinn Powers, 92, of Port Neches, died Friday, November 19, 2010, at her residence. She was born May 17, 1918, in San Augustine, to Calvin and Nancy (Butler) Quinn, and had been a resident of the area since 1945.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Wilbur Powers of Port Neches; her son, Johnny Powers and his wife Paula of Port Neches; three grandsons, James Powers and his wife Tisha, Blake Powers and his wife Jessica all of Groves and Brent Powers and his wife Natalie of Port Neches; three great grandsons, Michael, Alex and Matthew Powers all of Groves; and one great granddaughter, Caroline Powers of Groves. Mamie is preceded in death by her son, Wayne; parents; and siblings, Wade, Emma Charlie, Weddie, Nora, John, Edna, Jennie, Sam, Jimmie, and Lena Mae.

Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 22, 2010, at First Baptist Church, 1900 Magnolia, Port Neches with Dr. David Mahfouz officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland. A gathering of her family and friends will be Sunday, November 21, 2010, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., at Broussard’s.
