Martha Crawford Dukett, 86, of Lumberton, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, after a brief illness.  Surrounded by her family, she met her Heavenly Father with open arms.  She was born on March 10, 1924, in Fannett, to Ida and Albert Crawford.

Martha was cared for and survived by her loving daughter, Michelle Theriac and her husband Mark of Mauriceville, Texas; sons, Mike Dukett, Greg Dukett and his wife Mary and Mark Dukett, all of Springfield, Illinois; fifteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; sister, Delores Bundick and her husband Shelby of Beaumont; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Brian; five brothers and five sisters.

Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Landrum Cemetery in Fannett. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2010, at Broussard’s.

Special thanks to Village Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lumberton for taking care of her for the past five years.  Martha always enjoyed going to church, playing bingo, and her weekly “Chatty Nails” appointment.  She was supported by an amazing group of doctors, nurses and care givers during her short stay at Baptists Hospitals of Southeast Texas and Hospice of Texas.  Her family is so grateful for such compassionate care.
