Glen “G.O.” Vanover, 82, of Beaumont, died Sunday, November 14, 2010, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, Glen was born January 1, 1928 to Loneta Studdard and William C. Vanover. He was retired with Mobil Oil and was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean War. Survivors include his sons, Kirby C. Vanover and his wife Trish of San Angelo and Bill G. Vanover and his wife Deborah of Beaumont; daughter, Vickie A. Vanover of Beaumont; grandchildren, Nicole Proctor and her husband Russell, Randy Vanover, Amber Shiflett, M.D. and her husband Mason Shiflett, M.D., Nadine Glasman and her husband Tom, Chantal Christensen, Gunnar Westfall and Trey Westfall; great grandchildren, Shelbie DeLeon, Allison Glasman, Jacob Glasman, Avery Shiflett and Andrew Shiflett; great great grandchild, Brynlee DeLeon; and brother, Les Vanover of Granbury. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Lonora Vanover; and brother, Dean Vanover. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2010, at Broussard’s. Memorial contributions may be made to Boys’ Haven of America, P.O.
