Joseph “Joey” Banner, Jr., 55, of Nederland, died Friday, October 15, 2010 in Port Arthur.

Joey was a long time resident of Nederland for the past forty-five years. He was an Operator for Exxon Mobil with thirty-two years of service, and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland.

Joey is survived by his wife, Judy Banner; daughter, Emily Banner; son, Joseph Banner; sisters, Mary Fleming and her husband Steve all of Nederland, Layne Banner of Beaumont; mother, Fro M. Banner of Kirbyville and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Earnest Banner Sr.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 18, 2010, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Reverend Monsignor Dan Malain officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Broussard’s in Nederland.
