Doris Mae “Grannie” Whitlock, 79, of High Island died October 4, 2010, at the Memorial Baptist Hospital of Beaumont.

A native of Ortsego, Ohio she had lived in the High Island for thirty years.         

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010, at the first Baptist Church of Stowell, 113 Van Nostrand, Stowell under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie with burial to follow in High Island Cemetery.  A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.

She is survived by her daughter, Estille DeMoss of Bullard; brother, John Larntz of Coshocton, Ohio; grandchildren, Dennis DeMoss, David DeMoss, Christine Tinsley, Tambree McClintock, Linda Hebert, Patricia DeMoss; great-grandchildren, Noah DeMoss, Jonah DeMoss, David DeMoss, Jr., Dalton DeMoss, Derek DeMoss, Dannon DeMoss, Jordan, DeMoss, Jade DeMoss, Bryan DeMoss, Dustin Barrow, Josh Hebert, Carla Hebert, Trevor McClintock, and Russell McClintock.
