Ed Johnson, 76, died Saturday, September 25, 2010, in Beaumont.

He was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana April 13, 1934, to Alfred and Jessie (Mapes) Johnson.   A Beaumont resident since 1975, he retired with Exxon in 1996 as an offshore supervisor and moved to Warren in 1997. Ed especially loved his dog Spillway.

Survivors include his daughters, Amy Dennis and her husband Clint of Kirbyville and Jolene Shaffer and her husband Rick of Beaumont; son, Tabb Johnson and his wife Lisa of Beaumont; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jane Tabb Johnson; his parents; and three brothers.

His graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 N. Major Drive, Beaumont.  A gathering of his family and friends will be Monday, September 27, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Broussard’s.
