Brenda Diane Redd, 53, of Silsbee died Thursday, September 23, 2010, at her residence. Brenda was born in Beaumont on June 1, 1957, to Billy Clifton and Ola Belle (Powell) Holland.  A lifelong resident of the Kountze and Silsbee area, she was a cook at the Courthouse Café in Hardin County. She was a longtime member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Silsbee.

Survivors include her children, Laurie King and her husband Timmy of Warren, Rachel Smart and her husband Otis of Kountze, and Michael Redd and his wife Emily of Warren; mother, Ola Belle Cook of Silsbee; brothers, Gary Holland of Silsbee, Roger Holland his wife Pam of Silsbee, and Kevin Holland his wife Alesia of Mt. Belvieu; sister, Cindy Henderson and her husband Lane of Nome; and five grandchildren, Hunter Smart, Coy Smart, Kailey King, Dalton King, and Michael J. Redd.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Redd and father, Billy Clifton Holland.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with burial to follow at Holland Cemetery in Kountze.  A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, September 24, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Broussard’s
