Mamie Helen Sheffield 
October 13, 1912 - September 16, 2010

Helen Sheffield, 97, of Kirbyville died Thursday, September 16, 2010, at Avalon Place in Kirbyville.

 

Mrs. Sheffield was a native of Kirbyville and lived in Nederland since 1953 until moving to Kirbyville six years ago. She retired as a bookkeeper after twenty-five years of service with Dr. Walters and Dr. St. Romain. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Nederland where she was a member of the Silvertones and Silver UKES.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Mott and her husband Kozum of Spurger; son, Jimmie Sheffield and his wife Annette of North Little Rock, Arkansas; sister, Burres Bean of Kirbyville; daughter-in-law, Deanne Sheffield of Hardin; grandchildren, Beth Stevens, Kellie Sheffield, Jamie Sweeney, Mike Carbaugh, Dana Hill, Devin Carbaugh; great-grandchildren, Jeanna, Justin, Jordan, Jennifer and Jacob Hefner, Andrea Delaney, Madison, Remington and Blake Carbaugh, Hope Hill, Brittany Blanchard, Dustin and Austin Stevens; great-great-grandchild, Braydon Blanchard.

 

Mrs. Sheffield was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Edward Sheffield; son, Allen Sheffield and grandson, Greg Sheffield.

 

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 19, 2010, at Broussard’s in Nederland with Brother Jimmie Sheffield officiating, followed by interment at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 until 8:00 PM, Saturday, September 18, 2010, at Broussard’s.
