Dan Buffington, 57 of Nederland died Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Monday, September 13, 2010 at Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Broussard’s. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium.

Dan was a native of Monroe, Louisiana and has lived in Nederland since 1993. He served his country in the United States Air Force and enjoyed cooking, fishing and was known as “Dan the Window Man”. He will be remembered as a man who loved his dogs and enjoyed playing guitar.

He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Tanna Buffington of Nederland; daughter, Tiffany Buffington of Gainsville, Georgia; two sisters, Donna Wilkerson and her husband Leonard of Junction, Darlene Atkinson and her husband Eric of Lufkin; brother, Dewayne Buffington of Lufkin; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He will be especially missed by his four legged companions, Roscoe and Fred.
