James "Jimmy" D. Outler 
May 2, 1924 - September 6, 2010

James D. “Jimmy” Outler, 86, of Beaumont, died Monday, September 6, 2010, at Christus Hospital St. Mary in Port Arthur.

 

Born May 2, 1924, in Bradford, Arkansas; Jimmy had been a resident of the Beaumont area most of his life. He retired as a route salesman from Standard Coffee Company, and was a World War II Army veteran.

 

Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Kathryn Dunigan and her husband Johnny of Vidor; son, Danny Outler and his wife Pam of Port Neches; grandchildren, Kasie Outler, and Jamie Outler both of Port Neches; and nieces, Kathy Lamb Martin, and Janice Lamb Finley, both of Las Vegas, Nevada.

 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Pace Outler; parents, Daniel G. and Effie Outler; brother, Pierce Lamb; and sister, Myrtle Baldwin.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 9, 2010, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Street, Beaumont, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2010, with a Christian Vigil at 7:00 p.m., at Broussard’s.
