Dolores Collen Blanco Dikes 
September 14, 1932 - August 27, 2010

Dolores Collen Blanco Dikes,77, of Nederland passed away Friday, August 27,at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.   She was born on, September 14, 1932, in Tenaha, Texas to Henry Charles and Clara Lee Lavender Blanco. Dolores was raised in Port Arthur, Texas. She was known to all as Grandma Dikes.  Her passing brought about great loss and sadness to the people who loved her.    To cherish the memories and love she left behind her girls: Debbie Hays and Kathy Miller and her two son-in-laws Glenn and Lynn.  Including the grandchildren she adored her only grandson Kris Hays and her two granddaughters Kammie Johnson and Ashleigh Miller, along with their significant others Kerri Hays, John Johnson, and Mitch Duchamp. Her 5 great grandkids had the keys to her heart. She is preceeded in death by her parents; brother Colin Kelly Blanco and sister Clara Nell Blanco along with the Love of Her Life George Dikes.  She also survived by her wonderful and loving brothers and sisters Evelyn Richard, Bill Blanco, H.C.Blanco, Barbara Christopher, Joan Colichia, and James Blanco.   Dolores' funeral service will be 11:00 a.m Monday, August 30, 2010 at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland, lead by Pastor Eric Armstrong, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.  A gathering of her family and friends will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Broussard's.
