Brenda Scarbrough-Ashy, 55, of Lumberton, died Friday, August 20, 2010.  Born March 13, 1955, in Houston to Shirley Herridge and Marvin Lewis, Brenda was raised in Silsbee.  She lived in Lumberton the past fifteen years where she was the marketing and business manager for Pillar and Post.

Survivors include her husband, Louis Ashy of Lumberton; sons, Dustin Kasseroler of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Michael Minner of Lumberton; daughter, Amanda Scarbrough of Fort Worth; mother, Shirley Patrick of Kountze; sisters, Carol Strang of Houston and Robin Doucett of Lumberton; brothers, Marvin Lewis of Kyle and Steve Lewis of Silsbee; and granddaughter, Anjelisa Kasseroler of Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Her funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery.  A gathering of her family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2010, at Broussard’s.
