William Ray Bickerton, 73, of Vidor, died Monday, August 16, 2010, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. William was born on February 15, 1937 in Parrish, Alabama to Lela Lois Morris and William Bill Bickerton. A resident of the area most of his life, he was a machinist at Texas Metal Works and Western of Texas for the past twenty-two years.
He is survived by his sons, William James Bickerton of Vidor, Michael Bickerton and his wife Julie of Havelock, North Carolina, and Dean Cline and his wife Angie of Vidor; brother, Max Bickerton and his wife Margie of Vidor; sisters, Susie Small and her husband Bill of Navarre, Florida and Midge Rayburn of Farmers Branch, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2010 at Broussard’s.
