Kathleen Hardy, 85, of Beaumont, died Thursday, August 19, 2010, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

A native of Many, Louisiana and resident of the Beaumont area since 1946; Kathleen was born March 31, 1925, to Mora Stewart and Charlie Thaxton.

Survivors include her sons, Bobbie Lynn Hardy and his wife Helen Sue, Jerry Lane Hardy and his wife Litha of Silsbee and Terry Wayne Hardy, Sr. of Silsbee; daughter, Debra Kay McDaniel and her husband Mark of Timpson; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Alford of Florien, Louisiana, twin sister, Maurleen Hardin of Houston, Sybil Davis and Etoy Ellzey both of Beaumont; brother, Evon Thaxton of Florien, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Paralee Thaxton of Florien, Louisiana; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T.L. Hardy.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010, at Broussard’s.
