Berta Norine Braquet, 69, of Friendswood, died Friday, August 13, 2010, at Southeast Hermann Memorial Hospital.

A native of Crowley, Louisiana and forty-five year resident of Winnie, Mrs. Braquet moved to Friendswood three years ago.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Braquet, Sr. of Friendswood; son, Gerald Braquet, Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Austin; daughters, Donna Brezina and her husband Robert of Friendswood, Kim Sewell and her husband Rocky of Fannett, and Cindy Copeland and her husband Charles of Anahuac; and grandchildren, Trey Brezina, Craig Brezina, Sara Brezina, Mark Brezina, Nicole Sewell, Ross Sewell, Robyn Sewell, Charlie Copeland, Christa Copeland, and Cierra Copeland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2010, at St. Louis Catholic Church, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at St. Josephs Cemetery #2 in Rayne, Louisiana, A gathering of her family and friends will be Sunday evening, August 15, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
