Gordon Leslie Ritter, 80, of Beaumont, died July 31, 2010, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont surrounded by his loving family and friends.  A longtime resident of Beaumont, he was born in Gary, Texas on June 15, 1930, the son of Claire Dry Ritter and David Hobson Ritter.  Gordon was the owner of Duraclean Service from 1960 until 2006 at which time he retired. A Korean War veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Survivors include his children, Andrea Ritter of Lumberton, Michelle O’Bannion and her husband Randy of Sour Lake, and Steve Rivers of Lumberton; grandchildren, Hannah Rivers, Ellen Rivers, Chelsea O’Bannion-Moses, Shane O’Bannion, and Kameron O’Bannion; great granddaughter, Gabby Rivers; and sister-in-law, Yvonne Ritter.

He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-four years, Cecilia Ritter, and his brother, Ken Ritter.

Mr. Ritter’s  funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 N. Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont.  A gathering of his family and friends will be Monday, August 2, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Broussard’s.
