Douglas James Romero, 54, of Port Arthur, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010 at his residence.   A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 pm Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Broussard’s in Nederland. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s.   Mr. Romero was a native of Beaumont and lived in the Port Arthur area all of his life. He was a truck driver and served his country in the Navy.   Mr. Romero is survived by his wife, Wendy Romero of Port Arthur; daughters, Stephanie McDonald and her husband Clint of Dickinson and Brittney Romero of Alvin; step-son, Joshua Kame of Groves and his brother, Gerald Davis and his wife Loretta of Port Arthur. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Tresse Romero and his sister, Elizabeth Meeks.
