Dorothy “Dottie” Jean Beasley, 66, of Fannett, died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

A native of Galveston and longtime resident of the Beaumont area, Dottie was born October 14, 1943, to Josephine Meyer Huff and Robert Huff.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Edwards and her husband Will and Brenda Hood and her husband Larry all of Fannett; grandchildren, Rebecca Thibodeaux and her husband Garett, Brayden Edwards and Danny Hood; great-grandchild, Maeson Thibodeaux; brothers, Robert Huff and Stephen Huff both of Beaumont; and sisters, Phyllis Hodgkinson of California and Susan Hebert of Fannett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jere Beasley; and her sons, Brice Beasley and Bruce Beasley.

Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at Broussard’s.
