Ruby Williams McGuffey, 99, of Beaumont died July 5, 2010 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. Born in Holly Springs, Mississippi on May 25, 1911 to Banna Westbrook and Robert f. Burford, she was a resident of the area for thirty-one years.
Ruby is survived by nephew, Donald Visel of Mobile, Alabama; nieces, Bobbye Visel of Mobile, Alabama, Billie Fadaol of Oceanside, California, Myrtle Burford of Orlando, Florida, Carleen Reagan of Mobile, Alabama, and Louise Corbitt of Diamond Head, Mississippi; many great nieces and great nephews; her dog, Rusty; and her cargivers, Cathy Hadnot, Henrietta Stevens and Paul Sinaurs.
Her graveside service will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, July 9, 2010 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Broussard’s.
