Mary Rose Cashiola passed away peacefully on Monday, July 5, 2010 at the age of 81. Mary Rose was a native Houstonian, born August 29, 1928, the only child of Joseph P. and Rose Mary Corolla Lima, who preceded her in death. She was the devoted, caring and loving wife of her husband of fifty-four years, Joseph L. Cashiola, who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her eight children, Caron Cooper, Mark Cashiola, Paul Cashiola, Clare Barbour, Randy Cashiola, Kay Davidson, James Cashiola and Celeste Bode; eighteen grandchildren, Matthew Cooper, Seth Cooper, Sara Cooper, Laura Cashiola, Corey Barber, Steven Cashiola, Stacy Cashiola, Shannon Cashiola, Adrienne Barbour, Allison Cashiola, Trent Swisher, Audra Swisher, Bryce Davidson, Joseph James Cashiola, James Cashiola, Justin Bode, Melissa Bode and Garrett Bode; and her five great-grandchildren, Chiara Cooper, Dominic Cashiola, Joel Cashiola, Mattea Cashiola and Coleman Givens.
We will always love mom and mother, and forever miss and remember her for her courage, wisdom, strength, humor and unwavering faith in God.
A Christian Vigil will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Earthman’s Funeral Home, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc, Houston, Texas, 77024 under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont, Texas, 77701.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, 1700 San Jacinto, Houston, Texas, 77002.
