Myrtle Clark Orr Matthews, 96, of Beaumont died July 3, 2010 at Calder Woods.  A native of Big Sandy Creek and resident of the area since 1932, Mrs. Matthews was a retired hairdresser.

She is survived by her husband, Cliff Matthews of Beaumont; sisters-in-law, Penny Clark and Juanita Lowe McRoberts; nephews, Henry Bowie Barnum III, Wiley Richard Lowe, John D. Lowe, Kenneth Rodger Lowe, Jesse Ronald Lowe, and Raymond Dickens Lowe; and nieces, Virginia Clark Milford, Rebecca Barnum Cotton, Diann Lowe Griner, Dorothy Faye Lowe Blanchard, Karen Barnum Fallen, Gail Barnum Parsons, and Delana Suzette Lowe Horn. 

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 N. Major Drive, Beaumont.
