Virginia Ruth Campbell, 75, of Beaumont, died Friday, July 2, 2010, at West Anaheim Medical Center in Anaheim, California.  A native and lifelong resident of the Beaumont area; Virginia was born October 7, 1934, to Norinne Wynn and Albert Neely.

She and her husband, Herschel worked in the insurance business for New York Life for many years. Virginia was very active in her church, and she often cooked for them on Mondays.

She enjoyed playing bridge, cross stitching, knitting, traveling and activities with her friends.  Virginia loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored.

Survivors include her son, Jeff Campbell of Beaumont; daughters, Lisa Tomplait and her husband Barry of Nederland, and Laurie Cunningham of Long Beach, California; grandchildren, Erin Campbell. Amy Campbell, Sarah Campbell, Paige Hopkins and Corey Borel, Derrick Hopkins, John Hopkins, Kyle Cunningham, and Courtney Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Ava Campbell, Maiyce Wilson, Kelsey Wilson, Zachery Borel and Christian Borel; and mother-in-law, Zelma Campbell of Beaumont.

Her husband of fifty-three years, Herschel A. Campbell preceded her in death.

Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at Broussard’s.
