Vera V. Robertson, 97, of Beaumont, died Sunday, June 27, 2010, at her home. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont; she was born on December 25, 1912, to Pearl Lindner and John M. Robertson. Prior to retiring, Vera was an office manager for the Marine Division of Mobil Oil Corporation. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her cousins, Betty Hansen, Virginia Robins and Al Hansen of San Antonio, Texas and Helen Clary of Southlake, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wesley Robertson; sister and brother-in-law, Rhena and Buel Kiker; and niece, Charlene Kiker.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at First United Methodist Church, 701 Calder Avenue, Beaumont with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Broussard’s.
Her family wishes to thank all of her caregivers that have enabled her to live in dignified independence, especially, Ethel Boudreaux, Jamie Guilbeaux, Lena Denton, Louanna Guillory, Kelley Denton, Bobbie Ramson, Barbara Semien, Kathryn Touchet and Linda Carey.
