Laurent "Joe" Joseph Dauriac, Jr. 
August 12, 1949 - June 24, 2010

Laurent Joseph “Joe” Dauriac, Jr., 60, of Lumberton died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston.

 

Joe was a lifelong resident of the area and was retired, after thirty-one years of service, from AT&T.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding on his ATV, and playing golf.  Joe was a thirty-eight year member of Northend Baptist Church and he was also a TASO baseball umpire.   His pride and joy was his grandson, Aiden, who referred to Joe as "Buddy". 

 

He is survived by his wife, Becky Spell Dauriac; sons, Byron Dauriac and his wife Jennifer of Silsbee and Nick Dauriac and his wife Kim of Bevil Oaks; grandchild, Aiden Dauriac; brother, James Mott of Beaumont; and sisters, Brenda Sleep of Beaumont, and Joyce Norris of Beaumont.

 

Joe is preceded in death by his father, Laurent Joseph Dauriac, Sr. and his mother, Annie Mae Dauriac Mott and her husband Elmer Mott.

 

Funeral service will be 2:30 P.M. Sunday, June 27, 2010, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee with burial to follow at Morse Cemetery in Buna.   A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, June 26, 2010, 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Broussard’s.
