Theresa Annette Smith, 92, of Kountze died June 18, 2010, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth following a brief illness. Theresa was born April 19, 1918, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Robert and Lottie (Haupt) Faust.   Survivors include her daughters, Fay A. Castilaw and her husband Ray of Lufkin, Joyce McCorquodale and her husband John of Newton, and Jane Read and her husband Tom of Silsbee; sons, Bennie Smith, Jr. and his wife Teresa of Crockett and Allen Smith of Kountze; eleven grandchildren; and eighteen great-great grandchildren.   She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-two years, Bennie Smith, Sr., and twin daughters, Lottie and Lera.   Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2010, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with burial to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze.  A gathering of her family and friends will be Sunday, June 20, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.   Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Anthony and Ben Castilaw, David and Brian McCorquodale, and Aaron Smith; and sons-in-law, Ray Castilaw and John McCorquodale.   Theresa will always be remembered for her sweet smile, words of encouragement to others, and her never-give-up spirit.  Although faced with many trials in life, she always had faith that God would bring her through each trial.  “Mama” and “Grandma” you will never be forgotten! We love you, always have, and always will!
