Frances Donna Caraway Hext Luedecke, 97, of Nederland, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2010 at Cypress Glen Nursing Home in Port Arthur.

Service will be 2:00 PM Monday, June 21, 2010 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Dr. David Mahfouz officiating. Interment will follow at Frank’s Branch Cemetery in Fred. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, June 20, 2010 from 5 to 8 pm at Broussard’s in Nederland.

Frances was the former owner and operator of Frances’s Beauty Shop and was elected by the Better Business as Woman of the Year. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Port Neches and Eastern Star Chapter 71 in Beaumont.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Hext, son, James Hext and grandson, Roger David Watson.She is survived by two daughters, Glenda Munson and husband, Jerry of Hamilton and Martha Cobb and husband, Larry of Nederland; brother, Thomas Caraway of Silsbee; grandchildren, Marilyn Eldridge and husband, Rex of Spurger, Mike Watson and wife, Karen of Nederland, Donna Rahn and husband, Jason of The Colony, Dale Munson and wife, Patty of The Colony, Jeff Cobb and wife, Christi of Nederland and Gary Cobb and wife, Laurie of Sherman; fifteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
