Doris Mary Brown 
December 31, 1918 - June 13, 2010

Doris Mary Brown went peacefully to be with the Lord at 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2010. She was born on December 31, 1918, in Eunice, Louisiana.   After surviving The Great Depression and the loss of her mother at the age of fifteen, Doris moved to Texas and met Roy Brown. Together they had three children and cherished their thirty-nine year marriage. After being widowed, Doris married Ted Lilley in 1989. She was an active member of St. Anne Catholic Church and a former Eucharistic minister.

 

She is survived by her husband, Ted Lilley; sister, Birdie Williamson; daughters, Karla Wright and son-in-law Gerald Wright, Annette Allen and son-in-law Greg Allen, Jennifer Tate and son-in-law Chris Tate. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rodney Allen, Kayla Allen and her fiancé Dink Watson, Amy Schmidt and her husband Nick Schmidt, Ryan Allen and his wife Leila Allen, and Alicia Tyler. Furthermore, she is survived by two precious great grandchildren, William Schmidt, three and a half years old, and Lola Allen, two months old.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at St. Anne Catholic Church with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.  A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Broussard’s.

All who knew Doris Brown will keep many memories, many words of wisdom and advice, and many thanks to have been a part of her ninety one years of life. We love you very much!
