Margaret "Nanny" Clara Frasier 
November 23, 1919 - June 10, 2010

Margaret “Nanny” C. Frasier, 90, of Beaumont, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was born November 23, 1919, in Troup, Texas to Veda Elender Rucker and Issac Thomas Ray. Margaret was a secretary and bookkeeper for South Park Independent School District for thirty plus years and longtime resident of the South Park area of Beaumont, Texas. She was also a devoted member of both Highland Avenue Baptist and South Park Baptist Churches.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Lana Zeigler and her husband Bobby of Port Arthur,  son, Robert Frasier and his wife Dana of Knoxville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Chad Frasier, Ryan Frasier, Kristen Shepherd, and Nancy Hazlip; six great grandchildren, Lauren Davison, Holli Hazlip, Ethan Frasier, Seth Frasier, Faith Shepherd, and Robbie Shepherd; and one great great grandchild, Allison Hazlip.

 

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Carol Frasier; her mother, Mrs. Veda Overton; and her brother, Elvis Ray.

 

Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. Burial will follow at Rucker Cemetery in Troup, Texas at 4:00 p.m.. A gathering of her family and friends will be Monday, June 14, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
