Thomas Aguinaga, 68, of Nederland, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010 at his residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Port Arthur with Reverend T.R. Blanco officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010 with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. at the mortuary. Mr. Aguinaga was employed by GM in Detroit, MI for eleven years. He was a Mechanic Max and retired from Exxon Mobil Pipeline (Hebert Station, West Port Arthur Road), after twenty-seven years of service. He was a native of Milam, MI and lived in the area for thirty-five years. Mr. Aguinaga is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Melinda Gussman Aguinaga of Nederland; his mother, Phyllis Cardenas of Capac, MI; sons Philip Aguinaga and wife Sherri of Cypress, David Aguinaga and wife Estella of Richardson, Nick Morrison of Nederland and Roger Morrison of Nederland, daughters Tina Aguinaga of Troy, ID, Renee Webb and husband Damon of Kingwood and Debra Clay and husband Eric of Austin; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers Bob Aguinaga of Gladewater, FL, Tony Aguinaga of Troy, MI, Manuel Aguinaga of Capac, MI, Rick Aguinaga of Gladewater, FL, Paul Aguinaga of Capac, MI, Frank Aguinaga of Imaly City, MI and Mike Aguinaga of Port Huron, MI; sisters Angie Ramirez of Capac, MI, Mona Thompson and Vicki Aguinaga both of Michigan and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Tony Aguinaga and brothers, Louis and Jesse Aguinaga. |
