Achille "Ike" Anthony Loiacano 
January 7, 1923 - June 1, 2010

Achille Anthony “Ike” Loiacano, Sr., 87, of Port Acres, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Cypress Glenn East Nursing Home in Port Arthur.

 

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Broussard’s in Nederland. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00-9:00 P.M. Friday evening at Broussard’s.

 

Ike was born in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and had lived in Port Acres since 1953.

He was a retired carpenter with Local 502 and worked for City of Port Arthur as a building inspector. He was a member of the catholic faith and a World War II United States Army veteran.

 

Ike is survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Helen Loiacano Broussard of Fannett; daughter, Jackie Sue Hanna of LaBelle; sons, Donald Loiacano and his wife, Pamala J. of LaBelle, Achille Anthony Jr, and wife, Pamala K. of LaBelle and Michael Varing and wife Beth of Port Arthur; sister, Inez Thornton of Trinity; nine grandchildren, Shawn Loiacano of Hamshire, Steven Hanna of Fannett, Bryan Werner of Hamshire, Michael Hanna of LaBelle, Anthony Loiacano of Victoria, Jake Loiacano of LaBelle, Brandy Varing of Port Arthur, Justin Varing of Port Arthur and Jordan Varing of Port Arthur;  ten great grandchildren, Brooke Ashlyn Loiacano, Caleb Daniel Loiacano, Tyler Werner, Layne Werner, Brady Werner, Tyler Hanna, Dusty Hanna, Luke Hanna, Seth Hanna and John Hanna; also  numerous nieces and nephews.
