Dottie Schneider, 67, of Nederland, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.   Mrs. Schneider’s funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Broussard’s Chapel in Nederland, with Reverend Dr. David Mahfouz officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Monday evening at Broussard’s in Nederland.   Dottie was born in Port Arthur and has lived in the Port Neches, Nederland area her entire life. She was an insurance adjuster and a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Neches. Dottie was a talented artist; painting in oils; playing cards with her family on game night and loved watching her granddaughter Kayli dance.  

Survivors include her husband, Butch Schneider, of Nederland; daughter, Diana Chiasson and her husband Stanley of Port Neches; son, Bud Chatelain of Port Neches; step-daughters, Patricia Carr of Beaumont and Sandi Wheat of Austin; step-son, Michael Schneider and his wife Teresa of Dallas; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Wayne Sweeney and his wife Lois of Groves and E.W. Sweeney, Jr. and his wife Alta of Port Neches.
