James T. “Tommy” Heath, 70, of Village Mills died Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston.  Tommy was born May 22, 1940, in Port Arthur, Texas to Pete and Alma (Seymour) Heath. A resident of Village Mills for thirty-seven years, he was a retired millwright with Local 2484 in Orange.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Heath of Village Mills; children, Tim Heath of Magnolia, J.T. Heath of Houston, Shannon Walter of Dallas, Kevin Horn of Village Mills, Stacy Jones of Austonia, and Timothy Philmon of Helotes; sister, Helen Clark of Orangefield; ten grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a special friend thought of like a son, Curtis Chatelain.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nelle Quimby; son, David Heath; and granddaughter, Bailey Jones.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.  A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, May 28, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.  Cremation arrangements are being handled by Broussard’s Crematorium.
