Tony "Rocky" Rojas 
June 1, 1918 - May 25, 2010

Tony “Rocky” Rojas, 91, of Silsbee passed away peacefully on May 25, 2010, at Pine Arbor Nursing Home in Silsbee.

 

He was born in Voth, Texas on June 1, 1918, the son of the late Luis and Lupe Rojas.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

 

Rocky graduated from Beaumont High School in 1936 and served his country in the United States Army during World War II.  He retired from Beaumont Well Works and became an Entrepreneur, owning several successful businesses.  Rocky was an avid reader, swimmer, and cyclist who also enjoyed spending time with his family.  He was a proud member of the Latin United League of American Citizens and served as President.

 

Rocky is survived by his loving wife, Antonia Rojas; children, Mary Jane “Beebo” Valdez of Winnie, Frank Aguilar, and Teri Martin both of Silsbee; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers; and numerous family members.

 

Other than his parents, Rocky is preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

 

A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M.  Saturday, May 29, 2010, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, May 29, 2010, 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Broussard’s.
