Hester Slampa, 78 of Nederland, Texas, died Saturday, August 14, 2004 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Slampa was a homemaker and lived in the Nederland and Mid-County area since 1953. Her husband, Jerry John Slampa, son Jerry Wayne David, nine sisters and two brothers, preceded her in death.  Survivors include two sons, John Joseph Slampa of Hanover, Maryland, and William James (Bill) Slampa and wife Deborah of Nederland, Texas; two daughters Brenda Musselwhite and husband Larry of Silsbee, Texas and Debbie Lynn Stampa Fears and husband Butch of The Woodlands, Texas. One sister Elaine Rae Boutty of New Iberia, Louisiana and nine grandchildren, Kari Slampa, Johnny Slampa, Jason Slampa, B.J. Slampa, Brandy Slampa, Jo Jo Slampa, Bradley Fears, Lisa Musselwhite and Lori Musselwhite, also survive her.
