Willis Cecil Cook 
April 12, 1921 - May 9, 2010

Willis Cecil Cook, 89, of Beaumont passed away May 9, 2010, at Dubuis Hospital. He was born April 12, 1921, in Turrell, Arkansas and was raised in Pecos, Texas.  Mr. Cook had been a resident of the area for the past sixty-five years and worked as a lube operator for Unocal. He was co-founder of the Golden Triangle Racing Pigeon Club and is a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II on the USS Harrison DD573.

 

Mr. Cook is survived by his wife, Marjorie Cook; daughter, Carita Cook; son-in-law, Eddy Betts; grandchildren, Amy French and Kyle Betts; great grandchildren, Alexis, Michael, Danielle and Trevor; brothers, Ernest Cook and Johnny Lee Cook; sister, Jo Ann Beauchamp; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Marion Cook and Gene Cook; and sisters, Francis Wallace and Janis Morehead.

 

A graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Magnolia Cemetery, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be Tuesday evening May 11, 2010, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Broussard’s.
