Pauline Daire Rape 
May 5, 1922 - May 4, 2010

 

Pauline Rape, 87, of Nederland, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Cypress Glen Nursing Facility in Port Arthur.

 

Funeral service will be 11 am Friday, May 7, 2010 in the chapel of Broussard’s in Nederland with Reverend Monsignor Dan Malain officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10 am until time of service at 11 am, Friday, May 7, 2010 at the mortuary.

 

Mrs. Rape was a native of Ville Platte, Louisiana and was a homemaker. She was a member of “The Greatest Generation” serving her country during the WW II by repairing ships at the Orange Shipyard. She will be remembered for her love of children, having spent most of her life caring for them in various church nurseries all around Nederland, and working in her garden.

 

Mrs. Rape is survived by her daughter, Linda Kay Stansbury and her husband Jace of Nederland; son, Frederick David Rape of Brookeland; grandchildren, Eric William Stansbury, David Lee Rape and Megan Elizabeth Gallier; great-grandchildren, Lee Michael Rape, Allen David Rape, Colton Ray Gallier and Eisley Stansbury; brothers, Doc Daire, Delouis Daire, J.D. Daire and Kerian Daire; sisters, Versie LaFleur, Ethel Darby and Gladys Darby all of Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Rape and her brother, Marvin Daire.
